**IMPORTANT NOTE**: Your Moral Character Application must be submitted within 90 days of your fingerprints.

Please direct all questions to NBSS's Frank Devenport at (714) 843-9504.

2) Application for Determination of Moral Character
The State Bar of California requires all Bar applicants to complete the Application for Determination of Moral Character prior to being admitted to practicing law. The determination process can take as long as 10 months, so YOU WANT TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Once the determination is made, it is valid for 24 months. The application requires you to provide extensive information about past residences and past employment, so students are encouraged to begin collecting this data now.

Application forms and other information are available at: California Bar Exam & Admissions - Moral Character.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have any question about something in your past that you may have to disclose on the Moral Character form, please contact the State Bar of California directly.
